Twelve near-surface porphyry targets have been identified on the Bellas Gate mineral concession to the north and east of 62 adits and shafts where the British were mining copper/gold epithermal veins in the 1800s. Drilling in 2022 intersected multiple, near surface porphyry-style copper/gold targets including, 309.0m at 0.44% copper & 0.33 g/t gold, 178.5m at 0.37% copper & 0.16 g/t gold and 108.0m at 0.42% copper & 0.26 g/t gold – all within 15m from surface.
During the summer of 2022, C3 Metals made a discovery of an 8km by 4.5km area where over 100 rock chip samples have returned greater than 1% copper and up to 16.5% copper. Within the southeast portion of this mineralized footprint, a large-scale, epithermal vein swarm has been discovered. The vein swarm has been mapped over a 3km by 5km area and has return over 30 rock chip samples grading over 2.0 g/t gold and up to 58.1 g/t gold.
The Super Block Project is a 50% Joint Venture with exposure to the historical Pennants Gold Mine and other highly prospective copper and gold exploration targets, overlapping with C3 Metals' and Geophysx's concessions. Operating from 2002 to 2004, Pennants Mine produced approximately 16,000 ounces of gold. Recent sampling revealed a significant 4km gold anomaly along the Bennett Fault, and the nearby parallel Rio Minho Fault is host to strong copper-silver mineralization spanning 4km.
The Jasperoide Project covers 26,800 hectares in a known, world-class copper district in southern Peru. Jasperoide is located within 50km of Hudbay Minerals’ Constancia and Pampacancha copper/gold mines, MMG’s Las Bambas mine, First Quantum Minerals’ Haquira development project and Rio Tinto and BHP’s copper exploration projects. C3 Metals has identified multiple copper/gold skarn, porphyry and epithermal targets at Jasperoide. The Company has drilled the first skarn target – Montana de Cobre – and intersected high-grade copper in multiple holes, including 53.2m at 3.11% copper & 0.46 g/t gold, 118.7m at 1.15% copper & 0.37 g/t gold and 229.5m at 0.99% copper & 0.43 g/t gold.
